Even though fall just barely started, it seems like every day there are new gift sets popping up and they all look so awesome! Usually these things start coming out closer to the holidays, but i seems to be starting pretty early this year and it’s making me super excited. Usually I hate that, like when the mall has Christmas stuff up before thanksgiving I’m like “umm scuse me, can I enjoy my turkey first? Kthx” But makeup gift sets can start as early as they want. I’m not gonna complain.
There are a ton out already, but some of them are getting mixed reviews, so I’m going to narrow it down to thing I know are good because either I already got them, someone I know already got them or they are just repackaged gift sets of formulas that I already know and love.
A couple of them were not released specifically for holiday, but they still make great holiday gifts…and if you’re like me and you want them for yourself then you can feel less weird about it. Everyone wins!
- TARTE ENERGY NOIR CLAY PALETTE // I wasn’t sure If I really wanted this palette, but my BFF bought it and is in love with it, and she knows whats up so I trust her that I need to try it. The colors are right up my alley too so this ones definitely on the wish list.
- HOURGLASS AMBIENT EDIT // This palette is pricey, but if you love the ambient lighting powders and blushes it’s worth it to get to try this many shades…unless you already own most of these shades, then that’s just silly. I already bought this one for myself because I love the way these powders photograph, and it’s the same high quality you would expect from Hourglass and the packaging is very sleek and gorg.
- SEPHORA FAVORITES DRAW THE LINE KIT // Every single liner in this kit is something I’ve used before and would repurchase. As a matter of fact I use Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and/or UD 24/7 Liner pretty much every day. This kit is amazeballs actually, I can’t believe I haven’t purchased this! It’s hard to see from the packaging but the Stila, Smashbox and Tarte liners are all full sized too, so for 30 bucks this set is crazy good value. I gotta get on that.
- STILA ETERNAL LOVE LIQUID LIPSTICK SET // Dude I can not even with this set. Two of the shades are new and the third is Beso which is my all time favorite which I would obviously be stoked to have a travel size of. The other shades are a dusty pink and a dark plum which…I die. I just die. And the whole set is only 20 bucks, which is a really wallet friendly way to try some new shades of the best liquid lipstick formula ever. I’m serious it’s the best ever, science said so.
I think these would make the best makeup gifts this year….but that’s only so far! I’ll put together a nice big list of big gifts and stocking stuffers and things like that the way I did last year as we get closer to the holidays. I do know for a fact that Kat Von D is releasing a Lolita set with a new Shade called Lolita 2 in a few weeks, and there are a few more really nice things slated to launch within the next month. Basically shopping is going to be easy this year because it’s only October and the gifts are already bomb.
